A regulating valve generally refers to a control valve. A control valve is composed of two main assemblies: the valve body assembly and the actuator assembly (or actuator system), and is divided into four major series: single-seat series control valves, double-seat series control valves, sleeve series control valves and self-operated series control valves. The variations of the four types of valves can lead to a great many different applicable structures, each with its own specific applications, characteristics, advantages and disadvantages.
