American standard check valves are a type of valve designed, manufactured and inspected in accordance with relevant American standards to prevent fluid backflow. The American standard check valve achieves automatic opening and closing by relying on the pressure difference of the fluid itself. When the fluid flows in the normal direction, the pressure of the fluid pushes the valve disc open, allowing the fluid to pass through the valve smoothly and flow in the designated direction. When the fluid shows a counter-flow tendency, the counter-flow pressure will cause the valve disc to close rapidly and tightly adhere to the valve seat, preventing the fluid from flowing in the reverse direction and thus protecting the equipment and medium in the pipeline system from the influence of counter-flow.
