The pneumatic diaphragm valve is a special type of shut-off valve that emerged in the 1920s. Its opening and closing part is a diaphragm made of soft material, which separates the inner cavity of the valve body from the inner cavity of the valve cover and the driving components, hence it is called a pneumatic diaphragm valve. The most prominent feature of the pneumatic diaphragm valve is that the diaphragm separates the lower inner cavity of the valve body from the upper inner cavity of the valve cover, preventing the valve stem, valve disc and other parts located above the diaphragm from being corroded by the medium. It eliminates the need for packing seal structure and avoids medium leakage.
