The actuator is an indispensable structure in the process of industrial production automation, with high frequency of use, and is prone to malfunction due to high temperature, high pressure, and serious social environmental problems, leading to the need for maintenance. The power of actuators includes electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic, but here we mainly introduce the faults and maintenance management methods of pneumatic actuator systems. The analysis results are as follows.

Pneumatic actuator failures include blockage, leakage, and control coil burnout. Here, we will briefly analyze the problems that arise in maintenance methods based on these three basic conditions.

The pneumatic actuator is stuck. Disassemble the actuator, check for adhesion, analyze and reassemble.

Check for any air leaks in the pneumatic actuator or valve stem, and inspect for any damage to the sealing sleeve. If damaged, replace it promptly as it directly affects the functionality of the components and must be replaced Damaged seals can cause leakage. Check the piston or inspect for impurities. The piston ring and lubricating components can be replaced. Another issue is the aging and deterioration of the coil, so it can be determined with a multimeter after power on.
